This ninety minute weekly program includes a Parenting Topic Workshop - there are 38 different topics – and open Q&A time with Dr. Rene, while the children are enjoying preschool play activities with the teachers. To balance the learning and playing, you also get to share an art activity or open play time with your child.
Learning
Together - A Shared Experience with Your Child
The Play &
Workshop Series is a ninety minute weekly class for you and your child. Each
weekly class includes time for parent and child to do play and art
together. For the
next hour, parents will join
Dr. Rene for in depth discussion on a specific parenting topic while
skilled teachers work with the children. As no two
children are alike and as no child comes with an instruction guide, you’ll
have time each week with Dr. Rene to ask her any of the important
questions on your mind. Bringing to the group all of her years of
experience guiding parents through each phase of child development, Dr.
Rene will be your partner, confidante and trusted friend in helping you to
seek out solutions to any concerns you may have about raising your child.
During this time,
your child will be engaged with other children having snack and story
time, movement games and other fun activities provided by Parenting
Playgroups experienced preschool teachers.
Parenting topics
cover a wide variety of important issues where best practice options and
approaches are provided. Many parents report back that they love having a
shared experience with their child and a shared experience with the other
parents participating and the open Q & A time with Dr. Rene. The
curriculum includes 38 specific topics of interest including sleep issues,
potty training, aggression/competition, sibling issues, positive
discipline and many more.
